Hi,
You can travel to mathura and then take a direct train to haridwar from mathura, visit badrinath and then come back to haridwar -delhi and then to hydrebad. By doing this you can avoid traveling to delhi to and fro to visit mathura, just my taughts

a) No point in visiting Auli in October
b) Tempo-traveler charges appear to be quite high ex-Delhi and on a higher side for ex-Haridwar. Considering that you would be travelling in off-season, you should bargain for better rates (at least ex-Haridwar)

I checked with him, he says it would 40000/- ex-delhi has the toll rates have increased and he need to go though HARYANA where the intersate border charge is 4500/-.

Please let me know is this interstate border charges so high in HARYANA (one time/one week) and can we reach Mathura without entering HARYANA?

I think your tempo-traveler guy wants to take you for a ride even before you embark upon your actual journey

Can you please ask him about the details of the route he will take from Delhi?

While travelling from Delhi to Mathura, I do not think that the toll charges are so high.

It is a standard practice to pay toll-tax from your own pocket (excluding what you pay as cab charges)...As far as I recall, I have not been ever asked to pay interstate border fee while passing Haryana enroute Rajasthan/Agra/Mathura.

As suggested by another IMer (n kumar), the best option would be to travel to Mathura, and from there to Haridwar by train.

Hire tempo traveler at Haridwar.

Still if you prefer to travel to Mathura by tempo-traveler then in my view (not based on personal experience), per day charges below Rs. 4,000 would be a good deal.
