Hi all,

Still working out returning from Leh in October and how to spend my final four days before flying back home.

Feels like I should see these places before I go. I am a single woman traveling alone, wanting to see and experience as much as possible while staying safe and feeling relatively secure during my first journey in India.

What would the differences be including the price if I were to travel by train or hire a car and driver for a few days? I'll be looking to pay in the 50/60 dollar range for hotels. No idea how much a driver/car would be per day.

There is a four day tour for about $189. w/hotels included, but I'm unsure I want to be that scheduled. (though admittedly, there is a part in me that likes the thought of being told where I am supposed to be and just needing to show up)It is called the golden triangle tour, uncertain whether they are good or not.

Any suggestions would be helpful. It's hard to do this so far in advance, but I'm trying to get a sense of what will be the most fun and the least stressful. (wish me luck)

Short excursion custom tours for party of one

Ok, I read around and got some more info. Still trying to decide whether to take the train vs having a driver for the golden triangle tour.

Went to namasteindiatours to inquire about a trip they offer to see if they can customize something for four days instead of the usual six. (maybe less time in delhi) Still waiting to hear...if you know of any other companies besides those listed that might do shorter tours, I'd be grateful to know.

thanks for all your patience

Although train travel in India can be a delightful experience, one can occasionally spend a few hours (or more) waiting for an overdue train. This is just part of the adventure, but travelling on a tight schedule you might want to consider how much time you can afford to spend on rail platforms. I have seen positive reviews for a business called 'Rajasthan By Car'. Don't take this as a recommendation, I've never travelled with them, but it might be worth checking out.
Good Luck.

There are a lot of travel agents in Delhi who do custom based tours for Golden Triangle. You may contact the following agents for their servies and I've heard both of them are good:

hillsnholidays(at)gmail(dot)co m
info(at)wanderlustindia(dot)co m

Alternatively, You may also search on google for different agents offering packages for 4 days 3 nights for golden triangle.

If travelling by train, you may book your tickets at:
