Circular journey
Need help in stringing together the stations in the list into what would conform to be considered as a circular journey.
Boarding and finishing at Madgaon(MAO), mangalore, ernakulam, thiruvananthapuram, madurai, pondicherry, chennai, hospet, delhi, varanasi, shimla, jammu, amritsar, chandigarh, jaisalmer, jodhpur, udaipur, jaipur, agra, mysore, ooty, bangalore, madgaon?
If the above does not qualify, how best to put together a logical Break journey kind of itinerary? Conforming to 8 max breaks, I guess I will have to broke the list into at least three legs?
Assuming time not being a factor, distance restrictions might not be an issue but stretch of breaks might be a problem?
May I request both comments and criticism from guys here who understand the nitty-gritty of the mechanisms involved above?
Before the Booking office throws my application straight in the bin, I thought I'd seek some recommendations here. Thanks.

The Great Indian Railway Challenge" . While I was unable to make it on the trip - if I remember correctly purchasing an India-rail pass was the easiest thing for foreigners to do.

We've just got our ticket for the Circular Journey. We requested for Madgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Shimla, Delhi, Madgaon.
We were issued the pass for Madgaon, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Bhubaneswar, Lucknow, Chandighar, Kalka, Delhi, Madgaon. I've got 2 extra stops. What do I know but am told that they dont have a train or rather there's no direct train to Shimla so we need to go to Chandighar and then to Kalka. However, Shimla is not covered by them.
Am not an expert here and just guessing that if you request for a longer route then you may get all the in-between route to cover the journey and you can make your breaks there. But well this is just taking a chance.
I guess you may have to make at-least two separate trips. The top half of India and the bottom half.
We will do the other half of India around October 2012. Keep me posted on your journey.
You will need to make an application to the Mangalore's Divisional Commercial Manager's Office. You'll be lucky to find it. Am here if you need any help to find this office.

If you wish to visit Shimla, then you would have to book a separate ticket for Kalka - Shimla - Kalka league which runs on narrow gauge line. It is not covered under Circular trip ticket.
