Last time I did a bike trip in India was in 1996. 3500 kms in two weeks. That was mainly in Rajasthan. I am sure there are other riders who will be able to advise you better.

Wow that's an average of 250k's a day, on 1996 quality roads, excellent effort.

I recently did a 2700 km trip over 14 days incl 2 rest days from Delhi to Agra, Jaipur, Puskar, Bikaner, Amritsar, Shimla, Haridwar, Dehradun before heading back to Delhi.

The roads through Rajasthan were the worst with miles of roadworks on several occasions. The trip was about riding with little time for anything else.

Do not over estimate the distances you can travel in a day, unless you are on toll roads or expressways. Even these can have major hold ups.

Hi gireesh

To me this seems to be a very generic statement... If you could give more details about your interest or motive of this ride then it make sense to suggest you about the routes and itinerary.

Otherwise 45 days are less to cover Rajasthan but then it depends what is your interest. And at the same time 14 days are more than enough to cover most of the India riding on the golden quadrilateral which I did last year.

So please share some more details like 1. your starting point
2. What is your interest, architecture/landscape/culture/wildlife
3. Budget
4. Bike

Or whatever details you can provide.

Thanks
Smeet
