HELP!! Visiting India for the first time and desperately need some sound advise on itinery for a 2 week visit in mid October. I'm flying to Delhi and plan to visit Agra and Jaipur. Would like to squeeze in a couple of days trekking around any of these areas, as well as some beach action on the West coast. I know I'm trying to fit a lot in in a short time so a well planned itinery is a must!!

Would welcome any recommendations on places to stay, places to visit, things not to miss and things to avoid. Also, from Jaipur which beaches would be worth visiting that are in reasonable travelling distance?

Any suggestions much appreciated!!

xxx

You've got no hope at all of doing all the things mentioned and enjoying them.

You could probibly do Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Delhi in 4 - 5 days, then fly to Goa or Cochin, both have beaches close by and hills not too far away.

But then you will have to get back to the airport you're flying home from.

Not fair on India or yourself.

India is a huge country,in 2 weeks you'd never do all these things, best to just stick to one or two states & see all they have to offer.
If you've never experienced India before it's hard to comprehend just how mind blowing everything can be.

Like steven said it wouldn't be fair on you or India to try & see so much in so little time. India will still be here another time, but if you try & do too much on your first trip chances are It'll be your last.
Most people hate it at first, and think they've made a big mistake in going there, but slowly slowly India works her charm on you & you fall in love,,,,,,,,

A good introduction to India is what you're already planning, Agra , Jaipur, from there you can go further into Rajasthan, covering places as far as Udaipur. There is a circular trip you can make starting & finishing in Delhi,
Just looked in our searh box:
Have a look though here Rajasthan you'll find all sorts of information about travelling through & places to go in Rajasthan,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
