Hello,
I have just accepted plane tickets to Bombay 15.10-31.10 (2 weeks), it is unplanned and sudden but I am very excited. Will be travelling with my boyfriend on a medium budget.

The problem is that, honestly, I do not know much about India and from what I see here, it is huge and really had to grasp. I would like to ask your help for our itinerary, then I could start digging more deeply. We are interested in nature trekking nad wildlife as well as architecture and culture. I admit that during such short time there is no point going too far from bombay but we are ready to take night trains. The last couple of days we would like to spend by some idyllic beach, as we've NEVER seen the ocean.

I'm sure with your help we will have the trip of our lifetime!

I just arrived from Mumbai, still very agitated.
I recommend to visit Ajantha, Ellora for culture, perhaps you can make it to Hampi as well and to Goa for the ocean. In Goa are some small Wildlife parks, which I unfortunately did not visit, but perhaps somebody knows something about them.

Enjoy your trip!

Take a day trip out to elephanta. then once you get there after the caves take a hike around the island. for some reason you wont see a single tourist on the other side and you'll see bulls, monkeys, lambs and rural village life in two small villages. it takes about 4 hours around the island. its a nice escape from the city.
