Me and a friend are looking for a 2-3 week holiday in India, flying to Delhi on 20th Nov and out of Mumbai on the 8th December.

Our plan so far is along the lines of;

-A day or two in Delhi (not a huge fan of busy cities, tried- Hanoi before and hated it)
-Train to Agra to spend the day seeing Taj Mahal and other sights
-Couple days in Rathambore National Park
-Back to Delhi and flight to Goa
-Few days chilling at Palolem beach/ looking for dolphins and maybe a day trip to Anshi National Park
-Train to Mumbai
-A day or two in Mumbai (again big cities) before flying home

So a few questions. Firstly, is that doable in two and a half weeks?
Also wondering how easy/worth it would it be to add Kerala to that?
As mentioned, never been to India before so is there anything in any of them places I MUST do, and anyone got any good reccomendations for transport between places and tours in the national parks?!

Since you will be Ranthambore, my suggestion would be spend some more days in Rajasthan. The time of the year is perfect for a visti to Rajasthan. You can check out Jodhpur, Udaipur, Bundi.

Use www.erail.in for finding trains between 2 cities and use www.ixigo.com for flights between 2 cities.

I agree-I would add a little more of Rajasthan (Udaipur gets my vote) then fly from there to Goa rather than heading back to Delhi. Love Kerala as much as I do- if you fancy a week chilling in Palolem save Kerala for your next trip! Have you thought of Hampi as an add-on to Goa?

cheers guys. so dehli-agra-ranthambore-rajasthan is the best route and fly somewhere from rajasthan? lookin g into flying to kerala now, but need to do my research on kerala. a question on the northern section though, would it be best to pre book a trip round the four destinations, or just go as we go- turn up in dehli, get a train to agra and then book a safari from there to ranthambore?
