Hi - I am traveling to India for 14 days - three of which I am definitely spending with friends living in Delhi. Since I will be in the area, I want to go toAgra as well.

I am debating about whether to stay in the north and also hit Jaipur and Udaipur or head instead south to Kerala and/or Goa regions. I want to have some city experiences but also want to have some opportunity to relax and chill and have heard that Kerala especially is lovely. I am not opposed to flying to save time. If you think it would be a good idea to split time between the north and south and had to chose between traveling to Goa or Kerala, which do you prefer.

Thanks for any help and suggestions. Meg

Well, you could sneak in a short 2-3 day Goa/Kerala in addition to Udaipur/Jaipur/Agra/Del into your 2 week stay. But then, you idea is to chill & have some city experiences.

I would suggest: 3 days in Delhi with your pals. A day for Agra. Off the rest 10 days, you can spend time in Udaipur/Jaipur.. 10 days may be a lot unless you really want to experience the life in Rajasthan. You could do this with 5-6 days. This leaves 3-4 days to yourself (Stay in Del? Head out to Goa or Kerala? I would suggest kerala - Del to Cochin by plane; Cochin to Alleppey by Car; Look out for threads here which should give you ample insight)

North India is better during this part of the year(Winter & Cold compared to July/Aug when you have the sweltering sun). You may want to plan your flights in advance. Also note, since its winter, early morning flights get delayed & will have a ripple effect on the subsequent flight. Reserve half day (3-4 hours) whenever you travel for any potential delays (safe).

Hope this helps.
