Questions on "Birth Certificate" for marriage in Europe
Hi guys,
I am planning to marry my girlfriend this year in Europe and I have been told to get two documents as soon as possible.
1. First is the Birth Certificate from hometown with apostille on it. I got a new birth certificate reissued, but i have two concerns.
- My name has been printed with my initial in front of it. ( is it a problem? )
- A single letter spelling error in my mother's name.
Will both these create an issue?
2. Second is the "affidavit of the single status". I created one on a 20 RS stamp paper (state of Tamil Nadu). I signed it against a notary. Now what should I do next? Directly go to apostille or go to SDM first?
Any tips are appreciated.
