Umasol, I think you owe it all the loving and kind people who have replied to you, to post a picture of the blanket. In the name of kindness and humanity, please do.

After all, this blanket might go down in history as the greatest one ever. Merci.

But nothing I can do now about it.

I might be emotional. What i lived in India, being brave, travelling alone in remoted areas, loving my India, is too much important regarding this event. I so far have not been wise, as I should have via meditation or else, never have let it go so that whoever it could be could "enter" and trouble me.
A lesson of life.
During my trip this simply did not happen, maybe the last day I was not centered enough, as said having travelled 3 weeks alone.
Sorry for any inconvenience created here.
I follow the advices.
And go back to beautiful India in the heart.

As only Indians are over enthusiastic to view the private package; does not qualify it as universal request! Learn to respect the privacy of people!

there is much truth in the saying "shit happens."

the problem with looking at life with rose colored glasses is when someone throws shit in your eye, you get blinded. yup, it's hard when you get knocked off the "everything is beautiful in India" pedestal. my rose colored glasses fell off about 6 trips ago.

and yeah, people suck and treat others like shit, that's life, but there are a hell of a lot of worse things in life that can happen. it's how you react to their actions that makes all the difference, instead of wallowing in "poor me, look what they did to me." our suffering is created by our reactions to others' actions. look up what Buddha said about the two arrows of suffering.

frankly, no one can hurt me but myself. consider it a lesson learned and move on. and if this woman is really that terrible, then report her actions to the Couchsurfing organization and be done with it.

This is not a big problem once you stop convincing yourself that it is.

That Blanket was definitely drugs. I can't believe you would smuggle heroin. They will be looking for you in India, I would change my name and maybe go to France instead.

It looks like your India days are over, she will always get you. Don't go back!

Of course it wasn't drugs. The blanket was in two international airports and no drug sniffing dogs paid any attention to it.

Uma, of course you can return to India. This woman has no hold over you at all. Ignore bad advice.

Maybe the dogs were in on it, and were part of the ring.
Lord, Grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had to kill because they pissed me off.

Dogs of the ring. If three dogs, another triology.

You mean "corrupt" doggies were part of the drug racket?

All is fine. Subject is over. Nothing much to add. And would stick simply to Daisy L last comment. Thread to be closed.
Just smoothly writing my Indian journey. Quiet and peacefully and simply.
Writing about amazing loving Indian people met throughout this journey, be it on trains, in any place, such helpful and so much laugh.
And what concerns writing, wondering where writers do find their inspiration. Through their imagination, through their own experimentation in life or a mix of both?

Thanks to all of you.

And what I faced the most in India was myself I guess.

And so funny when people ask me what I "did" in India...what I "saw"...which "monuments"...
How to explain that it is not "what" but "how"?

Hoping I did not take too much of your time.
And wishing you all a peaceful and lovely end of Day.
With all Best Wishes to all of You.

To the administrator: would it be possible to close the thread so that no additional posts would be posted? Most grateful and with great thanks.
