Indian girl marrying french

Hello!

I’m an Indian girl dating a French guy. I would like to know if it’s possible for me to move to France and find a job once we are married. If yes, what are the requirements to find a job in France?

Wow a lot harder to dig up than I thought. Maybe that is because of an anglo centric search engine. Here is what I dug up:

https://www.expatforum.com/expats/france-expat-forum-expats-living-france/80142-work-permit-when-married-french-citizen.html

https://nz.ambafrance.org/French-spouse-visa-2231

https://www.expatica.com/fr/visas-and-permits/Work-in-France-Guide-to-French-work-visas-and-permits_101098.html

And my search string after considerable reworking:
foreign married to french citizen getting a work permit in France
The first may be of interest.

Somebody else here could do something more refined. But, the first link may work out. Good luck, it takes a lot of patience and persistence to do this judging from my own experience with the US. It helped that a consular official was an alumnus and later it helped when my Mother remembered a nice boy she had dated as a teenager who went to Washington. Yeah, he was the chair of the INS sub-committee:). There was no work permit required in the US for a Green Card holder. However, illegal employment discrimination was so fierce (and stated) my spouse had to take citizenship to get a final offer. However when you are young it doesn't seem to matter and it does seem to work out in the end..

As to job In France: the recent demonstrations there should tell you something about the situation there.

The French are rather Chauvinistic people and speak only their one language. So start learning French now. Online or in Pondicherry possible.

When you get a Schengen Visa you can also look for possibility in neighboring Countries, preferably Switzerland if you live nearby.

By the sound of it your friend needs you to work to support you. Some countries do not give long term visa if husband does not earn a certain amount. He has to be able to guarantee for you. I don't know how that is in France or how much the limit is. My guess is around 25-30k Euro.

If you do not get a long term visa after being married, at least you will get a short term visa allowing you to visit for 90 days in every 180-day-period. In case you get that do research that days-count carefully as you can easily overstay it because of counting wrongly while misunderstanding the 180-day-period rule!

Many major cities have an Aliance Francaise or something like that visited one facility in Delhi for the posh (great cafe). I was supposed to be taught by two French teenagers when young. But, over the whole period I can't remember any French at all. Under parental interrogation I stuck to that. I am very forgetful, Reagan Altsheimer I think it is called. The contract was not renewed. Sad, best teachers I ever had. Not the best recommendation for Berlitz style language instruction I know..

You should be asking this question from your spouse-2-be. As to finding a job in France ? It's a big country, and we know zook about your language and other professional skills and qualifications.

Requirements:
  • No requirements to buss the floors and clear garbage @ Terminal E, at Charles de Gaulle.
  • Certificate of Experience and a minimum of 3 years surgery and medicine in a accredicted medical facility.
  • An Architectural degree, a portfolio, and fluency with CAD systems.
  • ....

Does it help ?
