Hi, I am a current grad student in NY and looking for a good job in Delhi. How much is a 'good salary' to make in Delhi. I will be staying Defence colony when i go in 2 weeks. Is this a place I should take a good look around in if I plan to move? Where is the really central business area in Delhi(ie the delhi wall street)?

The Indian "wall street" is in Mumbai not Delhi. Also known as Dalal Street.

You have to be obscenely educated to make a mere 10 000 rs. per month.

hi there.

a graduate in any stream can very easily find a job in a call centers.....located mostly in noida and gurgaon (south of delhi)........ in a gud international call center, starting salary could be anywhere around 10-12k INR + other incentives........however, the growth chances are very open..u can double this amount incentives in a month or two depending upon ur performance........and after only sky is the limit... for living purposes, Noida and Gurgaon or preferred places if u r working in a call center......

Mostly, recruitment for these jobs is on walk-in basis but u better get in touch with some counselors for this.....they will train u appropriately n teach u basics of the industry n will arrange interviews for you with the perspective employees.....of course, they wud charge u some money...

check local daily newspapers for job opportunities in call centers.. to be specific....WEdnesday's Times of India.. and Hindustan Times on Tuesday would give u more than enough options to look around in Delhi

Best of luck for your future,

If u want, u can PM me, hopefully i can help u finding a job in a call center...just in case..;

Are you a person of Indian origin? You need an employment visa to work in India.

Nikki....... what kind of job are you lookin for and what actually you can deliver is the main part.

You can try BPO/CALL CENTRE jobs or giving Language Tutions.

You can mail your resume at p_cash@cibol.com

and above all you will have to plan the visa part also.

Best of luck.
