Just wanted to make a hotel recommendation for business travelers to Hyderabad. If you're going to be working in or near Cyberabad/Hitec City, I would recommend that you check out the Trident Hotel. It is a recently constructed, beautiful, full service 5 star hotel. My husband and I just stayed their for 6 nights and everything was simply wonderful. Not a single complaint and much to take pleasure in.

And ... here's the best part. Our entire stay only cost us $514. That's for 6 nights with breakfast included. The all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet was one of the best we have ever seen. It included hundreds of dishes offering Indian, American, Continental and East Asian breakfasts. Total yum! This $514 also included 3 dinners for 2 people at the hotel's restaurents (we particularly like Kanak, their Indian restaurant), 2 trips to the spa (two different 1 hour massages), snacking from the in-room minibar and using the hotel's car to travel short distances.

So, to sum up, for $514 we received:

*6 nights in a beautiful, large, spotless room with great view.
*5 delicious copious breakfasts
*3 dinners for 2 at very nice restaurants
*2 1-hour massages
*stuff from minibar
*occasional use of the hotel's car

Wow!

Of course, this was in June, not exactly peak season. So I'm assuming the value wouldn't be quite as good at other times of the year. But still ...

I've learned a little more about the bill. It turns out that my husband made a $1000 deposit earlier to a third-party (the conference he was attending). So the total was more like $1500 for the 5 days/6 nights. Not such a great deal after all, but still, it was a very nice experience.
