Banning religious conversions in Rajasthan

The government of Rajasthan is seriously thinking to introduce a law banning religious conversions.

Amazing, because Christian population in Rajasthan is only 0,11%. Probably is
a huge long term danger.

Even for a non-believer like me, is difficult to understand...., though I've seen/heard in Orissa many bought conversions, on the way "food and medecines for prayers".

Here is an interesteing article that makes a counter point and refers tothe Joshua Project which is a systematic program of targeted coversion. This page lists all the groups within India and the groups being targeted which progress indicators too. (This BTW is great information for anyone looking for the various communities of India).

Ofcourse, what Rajasthan wants to do is politically motivated as religion can be a bias during voting.
