What next?

Spiritual tourism, medical tourism, marriage tourism. What will be the next trend?

I'm relieved to hear that my marriage will be stronger due to the Hindu ceremony I participated in!

On a more serious note, I have studied Hinduism, participated in many pujas and consider myself practicing the religion of my family to best of my ability. I may not have understood the sanskrit of the priest, but I know what marriage means, and I know I married a family, not just a man.

However I don't understand why an Indian marriage ceremony would strengthen a western couples marriage? Yes, I can see that it would be fun to get married in India, but what does that have to do with the rest of your life?
Good for the Indian tourism business though.

Here is an interesting question. What is the purpose of marriage and can that purpose be achieved without getting married? (I'm happily married but just wondering

Peace,

I'm really frivolous. The only reason I would want to get married is to dress up in a red and gold sari plus a red and gold lengha and tons of jewellery etc (as many changes of clothing as I can have). I'm just a fashion victim. I suppose I can just do that anyway without getting married.

You can get the whole royal Rajasthani wedding experience now as a tourist thing as well. They were advertising that last year.
