Thats it....i am sick and tired of 14-hour days, six days a week! i need a break.

I am thinking of leaving the concrete jungle behind and heading to the hills on my Bullet. However i have three days only (Fri - Sun). Do you folks have any suggestions?

I am looking for a place which is NOT teeming with tourists (like manali, kasauli or shimla).. off the beaten tracks is ideal for me..

HELP!

For three days, I would still recommend heading first towards Shimla and then further to places where you see fewer tourists. Head past Narkanda towards Rampur Sarhan. If you manage to reach Rekong Peo (which is a bit far for 3 day ride), stay for a day or two in Kalpa.

Thanks a lot buddy... infact i was thinking about Narkanda. But i need some information:

* How far is Narkanda from Delhi
* which is the best route to take, and will i reach it in a day?
* What are the places to see around Narkanda? i am not a trekker, and i am looking for lonely routes i can drive in
* of course, will i find reasonably priced accommodation there?
* Lastly, would it be crowded in March end? i am looking for a quiet place to get my head right!

Narkanda is 444kms from Delhi.. via Shimla. But I'd suggest leave the NH at Narkanda and take to the local roads..the route that goes towards Bagi and Khadrala is very nice.. if you continue towards Rampur and Kinnaur on NH you'll be running hard all your weekend...getting there n getting back..cause distances involved are big and roads are bad..
