Guys!

New here. Wanted some info!

Has any1 travelled from delhi to d'sala in a volvo?

I've booked 4 tickets for 8 pm bus from del. How long does it take to reach? My schedule says 8 am but I doubt that.

Also, Is royal palace resort in mcleodganj any good?

Replies appreciated

12 Hours seem to be less...As per my estimate it should be close to 14 hours...

One of my friends did and didn't opt for it on his return journey, instead he took the train. In my opinion the train journey to Pathankot and a short road journey from there to Mcleods is more comfortable.
It may be cold & wet in Mcleod.

Thx Jyoti

I've alrdy booked the volvo tickets so guess am stuck with that. Not too keen on Rail considering 1. they are shabby and 2. they are never on time. Did travel to manali on Volvo and it was extremely convenient. Besides one can book the tickets online easily so saves the hassle too.

Am assuming it must have snowed there too. Saw the News Channel showing snow in simla all over.

Cheers

Uttar Sampark Kranti is the best way to travel in those parts...you get down and Chakki bank..

its infact only couple of hours slower than Rajdhani..

Wink

Cheers to two of you

I'd hopefully find out how comfortable Volvo is on my way. if it isn't too good, I'll probably come back by Train.

I cant find whether it has been snowing in Mcleodganj? Anyone knows about it?

Also, the Hotel!! Royal Palace Resort?? Any good?

Yes you are right bhai Shashank, when I had gone there last this train had not been introduced. Jammu mail was the best choice in those days.

the volvo bus journey is comfortable if your seats are not in the last row and the journey will take you about 11-12 hours, it doesn't snow in Mcleodganj very often and even if it does..it's not really a lot!

volvo to mcleodganj is good comfortable but a little long journey.

8 am arrival at mcleodganj is right - maybe 30-45 mintutes here and there in this weather due to fog & snow.
