Last month we planned to visit off beat destination near delhi. After lot of search on internet and detailed discussions with my friends i worked out two destinations one in Kumaon and one in Haripurdhar in Himachal. I was skeptic about road condition till Nainital so decided to move for Himachal. I took help of google map to take a clear cut idea of Location.

Finally day came when we started i followed following route.

Delhi-Ambala-Kala Amb-Nahan-Jamta-Renuka Ji-Sanghra-Haripurdhar

Till Delhi to Nahan my cab was zooming after that i had to restrain speed as road started whirling all way till Haripurdhar. From Nahan we went uphill till Jamta from Jamta down hill till Renuka Ji. From Renuka Ji we went continuously up hill gradually till Haripurdhar. Before 10 Kms to Haripurdhar i realized luckly we chose a right place i mean quite off beat. I could see mist shrouded mountains, terrace farm lands and above all no commercial set up. there was so much mist i had to frequently wipe my wind screen. It was tryst with moods of nature. As i entered in town i refreshed my self with one cup of tea. During trip my wife was feeling sick so i purchsed one lemon for her. As i was staying at Home stay i was fortunate to enjoy local culture. Locals told me that there is one temple on peak from where one can see beautiful snow clad Himalayan view provided it is clear sky. I was lucky to relish glimpse of Himalaya. Apart from Himalayan view i enjoyed bath in water fall which is located on Kupavi(i hope spelling is almost correct) road. I went for one 4 hours forest trek it was most thrilling forest trek under canopy of rhododendron forest (mainly deodar, oak). In evening we enjoyed bonfire.

Second day we took excursion to Rohanart where we enjoyed fishing in river tons.

For those who are planning trip to Haripurdhar they can take stay at Bhangarni devi Temple.

Where budget to Deluxe accommodation options are available.

Lovely -- many thanks for this one. I have been close to Renuka ji to stay at Writers Hill when I wrote the final chapter for my PhD at University of Westminster.

I wanted to know what was the other alternative you had in UTTARAKHAND.
I coming in mid October to help a farm project and that would be a good time to travel.

Accomodation -Haripurdhar

As i mentioned my friend arranged my accommodation at a family owned cottage. That family is not offering accommodation commercially but one can stay at temple premises. A new hotel by name satyam has come there. I am mentioning some numbers which could be helpful for accomodation
