Hi,

Google Maps shows up two options for the route between Chandigarh and McLeodGanj.

1. NH 88 : 270 km
2. SH 25 : 240 km

Please advice on which route is better in terms of the road quality. Also which one of the two is more scenic.

Regards,
Vikram

Thanks for the quick response. The distance shows up 30km lesser and also the SH seems to be more of a straight route (with less turns & curves.) Are you sure the NH is better than the SH?

30 Kms is not much; but for sure you would find NH more broad and better maintained.

Do visit Bhakra Nangal on the way to Dharamshala
One life just isn't enough to see all that there is to see in Incredible India. Maybe that's why we Indians believe in reincarnation.

Dear @Mickey25, From where do you get the permission to visit the dam? What's the procedure? Kindly share. Thanks in advance!
