Hello.

A new member here. Have heard of this site a lot. First time registering. I am organising a trip with my family - Husband and 2 children aged 7 and 14. We would like to explore the Kulu Manali area. This is the itinerary I have prepared after discussion with some friends who have traveled there before.

Day 1 : Travel to Delhi arrive at 11 am at Delhi airport and travel to Rishikesh. Watch Ganga arati

Day 2: Travel to Shimla, sights on the way

Day 3: Spend in and around Shimla

Day 4: Travel to Manali and stay in Manali

Day 5 : Travel back to Delhi by road

Day 6: Fly back

Please advise regarding the feasibility and any modifications.

Thank you in advance.

Too much traveling. Skip Rishikesh.

Take the evening bus to Shimla. Better still you could also skip Shimla and spend all 3 days in Manali.

Which month are you planning this trip in? There're a couple Himachal trip reports in my sig that can give you some idea.

Welcome to Indiamike (IM), saras99

If you are going to Kullu and Manali region, you are getting the best of it all. Skip Rishikesh and Shimla, both. Unless of course you must be here for some reasons. In that case, cut short your traveling somehow. Otherwise, +1 for all that aarosh said.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to answer this. After these answers we realised that it involved too much traveling and I cut out Rishikesh. Now 2 days in Shimla and 2 days in Kulu Manali
