I am desperate to take a break and travel back to Himachal from Delhi. The problem is that as much as I know McLeodgang, Chail, Kasol and Manikaran by heart, I dont know much beyond that and this time I am meaning to visit Parvati valley beyond Manikaran to tosh and Khirganga.
Can someone please suggest places to stay in Tosh and also, how do I get there from Kasol or Manikaran?
Urgently need to know...

Hi, You get catch a bus from Manikaran to Bershani from here it's a 20min walk up a very steep hill (use a porter) to Kalga or 30-40 mins to Pulga (more interesting than Kalga) it's about 1hr30min to Tosh & about 4hrs to Khirganga most people going to Khirganga stop in Kalga to arrange a porter. kk

Hi

Hi,

Yes right there from Barshaini walk to Pulga 30-40 mins ... take the trail which was going to be a road so it wont be very steep .. no need of a porter to Pulga ... There is a nice guest house at the far end of the village ... From here Khirganga is a 3 hr walk .. I suggest carry a tent and all your stay troubles should be taken care of ... Anyways a nice walkin trip ... dont wait just do it ..

Cheers,
Dhananjay

Thanks for helping me out...

Thank you so much with your valuable advice. Idid finally make the visit to Pn Parvati but this time too, stuck to being in Kasol since I only just read this reply.
But now that you do know Himachal so well, how's Kalga? Any good places to stay there?

Kalga is o.k. for an overnight stop but like i said before Pulga is much nicer, a proper village unlike Kalga which just seems to have sprung up from nowhere due to the demand of more tourists visiting the Parvati. kk

Kalga or Pulga

i have to say i prefer Kalga to Pulga, its more tranquil and spread over the little plateau, now there should be a lake close to Kalga, and you find apple orchards there, fields and nice houses....but tastes are different.
enjoy Bertl
