Me, my wife and my 3+ yr old daughter have planned to go to Dalhousie in Feb 8, 2011 to enjoy snowfall. Is there proper arrangement in the hotels of dalhousie and Khajjiar to servive the cold and snow.By proper arrangement, I mean centralised heating, room heater etc in hotels. Is it guaranteed that we'll definately get snow at that time. We just want to relax for some days with snow fallng outside & we enjoying from inside the hotel. Is there any other place in HP where I can enjoy a similar experience at that time? please ,anyone with any experience, kindly suggest.

Well, for an act of Nature, only GOD can give guarantees.

Enjoy your trip. And go out side to enjoy the snow. Its infinite times more fun than watching it from inside.

Look at the threads at the bottom of the page or use search on this site. For Hotels look at the Hotels page:http://www.indiamike.com/india-hotels/

Dalhousi has lot of hotels with all modern failities like heaters etc but khaj. doesnt have many of options and roads are also not very good but the place is worth taking all the pain. Also remember to take all medicines and extra medicines with u..

last year..my travel agent advised me so and i will always be thankful to him as the place doesnt have good med. shops

Thanks for your valuable info. Can u pls suggest some hotels from where we can get stunning views of the snow capped mountains. Are the roads open for Khajjiar in Feb & how cold it was last year. Actually we are not able to decide between Manali & Dalhousie in terms of snowfall. Give your kind suggestion. Thanks in advance.
