Hi,
I plan to be in the Tirthan Valley this coming week.
As of now we plan to cover Jalori Pass, Shoja, Gushaini, and Himalayan NP (if the weather permits).

Is there any other place in the area worth visiting?
Time is not an issue since we are on an extended break.

Any tips for the area?
I wanted to giving Angling a try - Any recommendations?

Cheers!

Highly recommended stay at Ghiyagi, Shringi Vatika

I was in the Tirthan Valley last year and the river should be just what you need for angling.
But if you are going over Jalori Pass and the weather is fine I enjoyed the strenuous, short hike up to the old fort.(Non-slip walking shoes are needed as itīs steep) The views are stunning. I enjoyed that far more than the other walk through the forest to the lake.
Then stay with my very dear friends Pami and Manohar Lal at Shringi Vatika GH at Ghiyagi village just below Shoja. The food is wonderful and the wooden rooms so quaint. Only 3 rooms though, so book ahead.

Enjoy it!
