Primary Immune Deficiency and travel

It is a long shot...Wondering if anyone with a primary immunodeficiency, specifically CVID, traveled to India. I've been to India before but it was a long time ago and it was prior to the diagnosis and probably when it wasn't so bad. Curious to know if you got sick while traveling or how bad it was when you came back. I am currently doing infusions and will immediately prior to travel and immediately when I come back.

Hi JenP, and welcome to IndiaMike. :)

How long is your intended trip for, at what level of luxury and at what places? I'm sure that you already know that the first point of call is your physician, who will be able to advise you on your travel ambitions.

But by all means, let's hope that someone who has first-hand experience or knows someone who has had this, is able to advise you on IndiaMike.

I will be there for 3 weeks visiting in laws in outskirts of Vizag and going to some rural areas. Obviously taking typical precautions for the area, bottled water, no meat, etc.

I meet with my doctor next week but really am VERY curious to hear from other travelers who have this issue.
