I am 23 and I will be living in Gurgaon for my new job for 3 months pretty soon. I was wondering on any advice someone could give on places to go/avoid and any particularly good restaurants.

Also, I was looking at some menus of places in the area. What is "tenderloin" referring to, is it beef, buffalo,...

Ok so the tender loin thing reminds me of a true story when we were in Calcutta in the early seventies, and we kids were present at a get together of a few families, amongst them one Punjabi gentleman who was trying his best to impress a sultry Bengali lady (and oh boy, was she sultry).

India had apparently exported some lions at the time out of a zoo or jungle. The man was trying to impress her with this knowledge.
'So madam', he told her in a typical accent that made the common Punjabi mistake in pronounciation 'Do you know we are exporting loins to Africa?"

The lady raised one eyebrow. 'I beg your pardon', she said, and continued to smoke her cigarette in its holder.

I can sympathize with him. Something like that has often happened to me while trying to impress the ladies and while in job interviews..
