Hi,

has anyone tried yet to get the new visa passport photos? I have tried all weekend and the cheapest so far is 12.99 for 2, or 15 for 4. If things are not difficult enought they now go and change the size of the photoes, trying to get these done is really difficult and expensive. it looks like we will both have to go to goswell road toget the pictures done. Anyone have any ideas?

The size of the photos in the US hasn't changed and they are easy to get, but I did pay 30 USD for four photos.

" took a 6" x 4" photograph of myself to VFS Australia"

This is from another posting on the picture size as it is being slowly implemented in the UK & Oz. It doen't seem to be too rigid with some people submitting the old size & still getting away with it. Cutting it down as above also works..

When you eventually get to India have your new size visa photo's done over here, for only a few rupees.

Been to London today to apply for our Visas, I was told that the old passport size photos will not be accepted anymore! We took our own pics, and enlarged on the pc, not very fetching, but ok for the visas.

Incredible to have to pay 15 Pounds or 30 $ for four little pictures!

In India I pay only 13 rps for a 15*18 cm print and they use the same machine than abroad?!

If india have changed the size of ID photos, does that mean that all the photo machines where most people get there photos are now no use? even the one in the visa office. I always thought that the whole idea of those machines was for passport/visa/.driving license/ etc? Indian rules and regulations never cease to astound me.

You've probably just missed the 'deadline' for the new photo specs that have come in. If you have your visa right now, no need to worry - but anyone applying from now on has to apply with a 50mm x 50mm photo size.
