Dear Friends

I am planning a trip to goa between the 15th and the 19th of August (both nights included). It would just be my wife and me. The accomodation is taken care of as a friend of mine owns The Colva Kinara, at the Colva Beach.

Need help with:

1. Things to do around Colva during August.
2. How should i plan my itenary there ?
3. Place where i can rent a car at a reasonable rate.
4. Would like to try alternate meats like shark / octopus etc. Where would i find good seafood ?

Warm regards

It's will be monsoon so no water sports for you. Water will be rough & when it rains in Goa it rains continuously. Still Goa in monsoons is fun. You can take long walks on the beach, visit one of the waterfalls (Dudhsagar but will involve trekking or may be you can catch a train) or a fort (Cabo De Rama). Check out Old Goa churches, spice plantations & the villages. Goa will be lush green this time of the year so it will be eye pleasing for sure. You can club Cabo De Rama trip with Palolem (it's the best beach in Goa - at least for me) on one of the days. See my Goa in Monsoons trip report (yet to finish it), link in my signature.

Hey Ronak

Thinks for the info. I shall most probably be driving down from Pune and stay at Colva a a friend of mine owns a hotel there. Shall possibly explore places around colva for the 5 nights that i am there. Hope i find good places open for sea food there.

regards
