please do excuse me if any of this post is lacking coherency! Right now Im on a bus to Panaji from Hampi, and I'm on the back bad - I havnt had this position on a sleeper before, I got excited because other reminded me of getting the back seat on the bus in school! But actually its terrible, extra bumpy, I'm getting thrown around all over the place! also this phones keyboard is super fiddly!
please help me out! I lost my travel book and journal of notes I picked up off travelers! I only have less than a week to spend in goa until I leave on a train from madgoan to chennai. And I'm very very very poor. So if anyone can suggest how I can most enjoy my time here in goa on a super budget it would be much appreciated! My friend suggested going down to gokarna. I was also thinking of getting a hammock, can I get these in goa and will it be cost effective/possible to find places to use one?

Your advice is much appreciateded!!! Due for panaujij in about 6 hours!!!

Hey,
Be ready to shake all this bus travel stress away and relax like there's no tomorrow while you will be in Goa!
So you are on a super tight budget! Guess what, Goa can take care of that

I would recommend that you find a place in Goa, by place I mean a beach and stay more or less there only for the week. It will help you relax, love Goa and may be find a suitable travel companion for down south (i.e. if you are looking for one).
If you like it noisy or loud, get settled in Anjuna beach which is in north goa and considered as a party place. There will be hundreds of foreigners out there, mostly enjoying drugs I would say.

However, if you like it calm and peaceful; don't think at all and head straight to Palolem down south in Goa. It's the most beautiful beach in Goa and you will absolutely love it there.

Hope this helps and you have a great time in Goa and in India!

No idea about hammocks, but whatever place you go to, try to look for a basic room at least 100 metres from the beach, the prices close to the beach are way too high, also, saying you'll stay for a week will reduce the price a little more.
