Left luggage at Madgaon station?

Is there somewhere to leave luggage at Madgaon station for a day?

Also - where can I get info on local trains between Madgaon and Karmali? I've popped the two stations into erail.in, but so few trains come up, I'm wondering if they're showing only long-distance trains. I'd have thought there'd be local trains fairly regularly doing that route.

Is it quicker to get to Old Goa by train from Madgaon, or to hire a taxi?

Yes ! Madgaon Station has left luggage facility. All your luggage should be padlocked, else they won't accept it.

No local trains between Karmali & Madgaon.

For going to Old Goa, better to hire a taxi.

Only 1 local train departing at about 7:15.

Does anyone know how the 'metro' is coming along, I seem to remember they were building it to go from Madgaon to Paniji, but there were too many serious accidents, was the project scrapped?

Do you know what a taxi would cost? Surely I could jump on the 0104 at Madgaon and get off at Karmali? The journey takes only half an hour which is surely quicker than getting a taxi.

You failed to mention that you'd be around the station close to the departure time of train 0104, vital info really.

Indeed I did fail to mention this. But - if it turns out that it is possible to get the 0104 from Madgaon to Karmali, and that it's cheaper and quicker than a taxi, then I could arrange to be at the station close to its departure time ;)

Do they have a board displaying pre-paid fares at Madgaon station like the one at the airport? And if they do, if someone could put up a snap of that on this website or a link to it, many of us would be thankful.
