Karmali to Arambol

Hi I am traveling by Tejas Express towards mid December to Goa. I want to know:
1. Does the train stop near by Pernem or any other station near to Arambol?
2. If I get down at Karmali how can I reach Arambol? What is the price?
3. Is there any bus service? How long will it take? From where can I get the bus?

No stop at Pernem as per schedule, don't know if you would want to take a chance with an unscheduled stop. Anyways, you will get buses, rickshaw and taxi from outside the station.
From Karmali, taxi would take you straight to Arambol. I expect the price to be around 1.5K. (usually exorbitant rates are the rule there, but you can bargain).
Bus, after a 20 mts walk from the main road - frequency varies, usually one in 20 min. Often crowded. Will take you to Panaji bus stand, where you can board a non stop shuttle to Mapusa ans then further from there by rickshaw, taxi or bus to Arambol. Around 1.5 hours to complete the whole transition.

Thanks Snotty...
So we have to go to Panaji bus stand from Karmali station. Guess that is one bus ride. From Panaji bus stand we need to take another bus to Mapusa. And from Mapusa we take something to Arambol. Any bus that goes directly to Mapusa?
Also is there any train like local trains that goes directly to Pernem or Thivim?

No local trains in Goa. However you can buy an unreserved ticket between the two stations and board any train. Please do mention the train name since the fare will differ for ordinary, express and passenger trains.

If you plan to travel by bus as mentioned you will have to reach the main road and wait for a bus to stop. If you are alone then you can board the crowded bus and then change buses to reach Arambol. Not sure if there would be a direct bus to Mapusa.
