Im Afraid youve chosen the most expensive week there is Youll be very lucky to get a beach hut for 500rps a night let alone a guest house Try to change your dates to a week later if you can as prices take a good drop and theres plenty of rooms to haggle for the price Or be prepaired to be charged 1000rps a night mimimum

Are U Joking?

I think some beach shacks may provide you some accommodation in their small huts. You have to try there and then after reaching Goa.

For a non-AC room with attached bathroom you will have to pay Rs 1000+

Try to be there around 20th. You may get a good decent double (Non AC) accommodation in 700-800/- in some good guest house in Calangute/ Candolim area.

After 21st 22nd all hotels jack-up the prices looking towards the quantum of demand.

They also have these few months to earn money, which they try to harvest fully.

i don't think you you can make a reservation at the sunset guest house. I tried to find a telephone number but i can not find it. You just need some luck to find a room there.
Price was ok, but i was there in March. i think it was about 300 rupees but i guess it will be a little more in december.
Rooms are nice. shower and toilet are shared but ok.
few cottages available. nice food!
