Not for nothing is it called the Indian Ocean. Sukarno (I prefer the pre-1952 spelling Soekarno ) wanted to rename it "Indonesian" Ocean. And Pat Moynihan raised a storm by suggesting it be renamed Madagascar Sea.

Is anyone currently applying from Australia having similar issues?

Thanks.
I cannot even get to VFS site.

Able to proceed again. Hopefully no more glitches.
The idea that seeing the world means going from place to place to look at obvious things is an illusion natural to dull minds.

Sorry about long delay in response have been out of station — there was no mention of “ max stay per visit “. It only advises ‘ change of purpose not allowed ‘

This year 6 month visa option not available on app form , so I have another 12 month visa — but this states — registration required after180 days of continuous stay

For a tourist visa, I think nothing has changed - 180 days per visit !! If it is a one year X visas, then the registration is required.

X visa not available for me.
The obvious change for me was, last years 12 month visa did not state a time frame to register— where as this year there is .
But I guess if I had stayed more than 180 days last year I probably would have had to register, even though my visa did not advise of this requirement
