Hi guys,

I am 5 months in India with a student visa and I will be leaving in two weeks back to my country. I'd like to know if anyone has experienced any problems with departure, at immigration.
I read on the official website that I do not need an exit permit, https://boi.gov.in/sites/default/fil...on223.6.11.pdf
I asked FRRO and they did not answer my email yet. But as many things around here sometimes follow different rules, not always clear, I wanted to know if anyone ever had any problems.

thank you!

Student Exit

Have you done everything right?
Visa still valid?
Registration up to date?
Etc?

If nothing irregular.... Just fly. Don't imagine problems!

If you have not been in India for 180 days, normally the immigration authorities do not require the FRRO registration. If you have ben in India more than 180 days then probably they will ask for that.
