I have the same situation now, if you already got the exit permit, can you tell me after how many days you got it? Thanks

Usually exit permits are issued the day before your flight.

Exit permit processing time

Hi

Does anybody know how long it takes to get an exit permit from MHA ?

My son 6 months old baby came to india on TVOA ( Tourist Visa on Arrival ) as he got NZ passport.

He overstayed due to his mother health and now we want to exit the country and we were told we need exit permit from FRO office.

We applied for exit permit at local FRO office for my 6 months old baby and they advised that this need to be approved by MHA.

I was told 2 weeks max. But now its been 4 weeks and iíve made number of phone calls to local FRO and MHA but not able to get any sort of information.

No one is able to tell me even if they received the application at MHA.

Has any one faced similar issue?

This whole situation driving me nuts. Such a horrible experience.

Item of interest is #17.

Smart and intelligent as you are, you forgot to mention the village, or town your son happens to be residing in India with his mother - That determines what kind of FRO you went to !

Did you apply online via this http://indianfrro.gov.in/frro/menufrro.jsp
