Hey everybody,

I'm in Chennai since January 2017. Went back to Tunisia to renew my visa with another company and came back late October. My first FRRO was still valid and I was told I didn't need to change it.

Meanwhile, things didn't work with the company that made my employment visa and as the new law says " the sponsor of the visa can be different from the current employer ", I was also told that I can work with another company and here I am working for another company.

My initial FRRO's validity ended on Jan 2018 and I am not wondering what I can do.

After reading few posts and all the comments I freak out like HELL since I am going for holidays in June then to change my VISA again in October.

I was also told that if I leave the country after a certain amount of days (80 days I think) it's okay too and I won't need my FRRO.

Some answers please? Feeling the biggest issues coming to me.

Don't post same on multiple threads.

Start with your first FRRO. Explain, and grovel and keep sprinkling "Yes Sir, Sorry Sir, Your help Sir, I am homesick Sir...."

Long ago, my experience with the FRRO was that they were forgiving if people did a registration late, but it was very very important to do the registration before leaving the country. However rules keep changing (and mostly tightening up) so I don't know now. Give it a try, and follow the grovelling advice above.

The other one was pretty old so feared that no one would actually see it

So... Even if I changed the company I work for, I still can register for FRRO? It won't bother me to pay $30 also but will they allow me to register when I work for a company different from the one on my VISA?
