My friend is expected to do immigration at Mumbai airport before landing to Calcutta. We previously thought the immigration will be in Calcutta Airport like AirIndia does. But my friend is flying with Jet Airways. And the layover at Mumbai is very short (1hour or so, but all the flights are in same ticket) and at midnight. I read old online posts that immigration queues are often very long and crowded and takes so long to clear. Anyone has any recent experience?

And what about the facilities like payphone and paid wifi? If my friend misses the flight for long queue, then she can at least let me know.

Is the ticket on the same PNR ? If so, then it is 9Ws responsibility to get her to CCU in the next available flight; and also give her (and others in similar situation) the means to contact folks waiting for her (or them)

Does your girlfriend have a cellphone with roaming enabled ? If so, she can call you directly ! a couple of Euros is max it would take!

The original ticket is booked with Air France. Now the first half (inter Europe) is operated by Austrian airlines and the rest by Jet. So the ticket number is same on all pass but PNR changes in Austrian airlines and Jet airways pass. But yes, CDG to Mumbai and Mumbai to CCU is operated by 9W and has the same PNR as well as same ticket number.
We have been reading horror stories that how long it takes at Mumbai immigration. Also, given that 9W is not making much profit recently, will they compensate in practical situation?

That is all she needs to know. It is 9W's responsibility.
