Scenario is:
-my baby is 1 month old and i need her passport in another 15 days since we need to travel abroad.
-my husband is living in another city and cannot come at the time of appointment
- the birth certificate issued by municipal corporation here has issued certificate with incorrect address.
-my passport doesnít endorse my husbandís name.
However, i do have marriage certificate.

Now, can someone pls help me understand-
1.Will the address in birth certificate matter? Do i need to get it corrected first to apply for passport?
2. Since my husband is in different city currently. What can be done?
3. Will police verification happen for newborns? If yes, will it happen at current and permanent address both?
4. I am currently at my momís place which is also my permanent address and address on passport. Can i put the current and permanent address for my baby as my own address as in passport or ut has to be my husbandís address as per his passport?
5.Do i need to endorse my husbands name on my passport as an mandate?

Quick and detailed reply appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

You should get your spouse's name endorsed in your passport if you wish to apply for your daughter. It is mandatory.

While the process is on, you should get the address corrected on birth certificate.

You should get Aadhaar Card made for the child. PV may not take place for the child provided you submit copies of both passports.

Passport should carry the current address of holder (at the time of passport issuance. You should mention all the addresses where you have resided during last one calendar year.

Address mentioned in birth certificate should be the address where the child was born. It has nothing to do with the address mentioned in the passport.

How about the permanent address in both birth certificate and passport?
It should be my permanent address or my husbands permanent address or any?

Actually what is your case, you have not stated.

You will have to present your case properly, only then we can respond. Situation changes on case to case basis.

The problem is on my daughters birth certificate, corporation has added permanent address of my husband as my daughters permanent address and address at the time of birth.
Was wondering if this will be considered in passport ?

Also in passport application there is field for both current and permanent address.

Odds are against you to get a passport for an infant who is less than two months old within a few weeks. What is the destination country ? Why is it important ? Because some countries have a rule (rarely enforced) to ask for proof of vaccination or immunization.

Passport application form has fields for permanent address, current address and all the addresses where an applicant has resided surinh last one calendar year (however, it will not be applicable in this case.

Address mentioned on birth certificate has nothing to do with the current address. You may apply accordingly. You will have to submit your address proof.
