Hello Everyone,

I have a problem for issuing new Passport and i don't want to waste money because of mistakes in my Name on various Documents.

So the Scenario is:
I have just completed my third year BSc exams and i want to issue my passport
Due to some problems and negligence of my school authorities there was a mistake in my surname i.e Shiva instead of Shiga.
I have approached school many times about this issue but they did not do anything so my SSC marksheet also contains the mistake and I had to go to Maharashtra board office for name correction of my name but they refused becoz as it was mistake in my School's GR then i also made a Gazzett of my correction but still it did not change bcoz of such careless officers.
So i had to carry this mistake into HSC marksheet and my University marksheets also have same mistakes.

But my government proofs like Aadhar,Drivers License have correct name
and Date of birth certificate has intial of my surname as letter 'S' not the correct neither incorrect name.

If i apply for passport what problems will i face during passport document verification i don't want to waste my appointment money due to incorrect name on my documents

You will have to go for name change process. For that you will have to notarized the spelling change and advertise in two newspapers. Then you will have to carry newspapers and affidavit to the Passport Office/PSK.

You will have to meet a Notary Public and get the affidavit made. A stamp vendor will guide you to one.
