Hi All,

Does anyone here have an idea about the timelines for obtaining a European BlueCard for an Indian Passport holder. This'd be for software related work, person requiring the permit would have an engineering degree.

If someone has a website link where I can read up the matter, that'd be great as well.

thank you
Vaibhav

According to this site http://ec.europa.eu/immigration/who-...g-to-the-eu_en the decision is within 90 days.

Thanks Vonkla. I did some digging around and it appears that in case one doesn't want to wait for the decision, one may obtain a relevant entry visa for the country in question and go there. It doesn't allow one to work though. Is that your understanding too?

Also, since its 90 days (or 12 weeks approx.), is there a site or source that shares likely approval times (i.e. what's it currently like?)

Did you go through the conditions mentioned in the link to qualify for the BlueCard?

No idea, I just googled the site in my previous post.

What country is it for Vaibhav? I presume you know that not all European / EU / EEA countries are part of this scheme?

https://www.udi.no/en/want-to-apply/work-immigration/

This seems to be Norway's official site on immigration requirements and procedures.

Norway is not a member of the EU so the Blue Card scheme is not applicable. (It's not applicable in all EU countries either but that's moot in this case)
