Where to get the best travel SIM?

I'm travelling to India on business, but only will be there for 2 days. I heard that getting a local SIM card is not easy and it's not worth the hassle for this short period, but having internet connection is important for me. So I thought of exploring a travel SIM, as I am frequently travelling to other countries also. Any experiences which one is the best to use? :)

You will have to shop for one in your own country. There are handful of these "world SIMs" found advertizing in inflight magazines. Most are terrible in data.

First, explore your home carrier's website to see what alliances they have. My AT&T USA phone automatically picked up Vodafone in India, for instance, and I could arrange a data plan for the period of travel easily in advance. I was careful to turn roaming on only when needed, as that was the expensive part. I also found city maps that could be downloaded for use offline, which were a great help in Italy and France.

There was a good article about this in the New York Times this week: https://www.nytimes.com/2018/05/09/technology/personaltech/prepare-smartphone-travel-summer-abroad.html?action=click&contentCollection=Tech+Fix&module=Associated&pgtype=Article®ion=Footer
The best info is actually in the Comments.

Most "world SIMs" are huge ripoffs. I agree that getting a local SIM is not worthwhile for 2 days. However, if you are there for business, you will spend most of your time in an office building or at your hotel. In both cases you should have wifi.

If you really need such a SIM, if there is eBay in Malaysia, these world SIMs are sold there. Keeping them active for future travel may be uneconomical because of fees. As suggested above, see if your regular SIM will work in India. That is the best option for 2 days even if the rates are high, because you will be dialing and receiving calls from your own number.
