Wanted to solicit feedback from the group as to if anyone has planned his/her vacation using an Iphone?

Following are the things I'm looking at
1) Maps (I intend to use the app sygic for GPS)
2) Itinerary
3) Sharing updates with Family
4) Expenses

Also if anyone can share inputs as to how to better plan this do let me know. I can collate it for the group.

Bad Idea

Bad Idea Bad Idea till the last time.
Canadian mobile service providers namely Fido and rogers are the worst of the lot.

However my question was not about connectivity. I'll be taking a data plan in India simple. Question was more about any apps or ways ppl have used Iphone to plan their vacations.

Babu main to Sahib ban gaya

Use the App Store.

Google Earth, Indian Flights, Kayak, PackitUp, New Delhi City, ReSpotter:Wiki, Travel SOS, Amritsar Travel Guides, English Hindi Translator, Skype.

There are tons of Apps that are free, and many that work on both ipod touch and iphone.
