Mumbai International to Domestic airport transfer, please help!

Hi guys.

Were landing in Mumbai international in two weeks at 11:25. the latest flight we can find to Goa leaves the domestic terminal at 15:00, leaving us around 3.5 hours to transfer. We have baggage which we will have to wait for and then check in. This is our first time in india so we do not know how things work.

How long before departure do we have to check in for domestic flights?
should we se the free shuttle bus or would it be quicker in a taxi?
Do we have enough time to make the transfer?

Any help would be much appreciated.

cheers guys

Shuttle is much faster(takes 20 minutes approx) than a txi because you can directly checkin your luggage at the international terminal itself for the domestic flight.

Even by taxi , it is not very far away.

Domestic check ins start approx 90 minutes before flight times. You should take your boarding pass at least 30/40 minutes before the flight time , that will give you time before security checks.

Shuttle is free and you will have enough time to take your plane.

Mumbai Domestic terminals are new, and all processing, security etc is very efficient. Of the 6 Domestic airports we used in Oct/Nov/Dec last - by far the best.

Hi! Our flight will be arriving to Mumbai just 45min before the first plane to Goa will leave the airport. Do we have any chance of making in to that one or should we book for the later (15:00) plane to Goa? Even if we only have carry-on baggage and no luggage. Is it nessessary to book flights from mumbai to Goa in advance or is it enough to buy it from the airport?

-- Already found my answers.. Sorry for the useless post.

I'd book the later flight. 45 minutes is barely possible, assuming you have no checked in luggage even. A slight hitch in your incoming flight - and you're stranded!

Is this a good idea??? I'm not convinced that if I check luggage in at the International terminal, and get the shuttle to the domestic terminal it will be on the carousel in Kochi !! [whoa]
