Air Deccan angers passengers

Tyre puncture, brake failure leave flight passengers stranded
MORMUGAO, JAN 10 — A deflated tyre and a brake failure grounded a Mumbai-bound Air Deccan flight for over 12 hours at the Dabolim airport on Tuesday, angering a number of passengers who missed their connecting flights.

According to Air Deccan Airport Manager Elepage Lobo, a tyre on Air Deccan Flight DN 318 got punctured and a spare tyre had to be dispatched from Mumbai.
“When the tyre arrived and as we were in the process of fixing it, the brakes failed due to some technical snag. We had to get the part from Bangalore and the plane was ready to take off at 6 pm,” Lobo told Herald.
