Sign painters

Hello!

Does anyone know where I can find sign painters in Delhi? I'm looking to get a banner and some signs painted when I visit in March. I know there's a project called hand painted type with the aim of preserving Indian sign painting but the website is a bit out of date and I haven't heard anything from the emails I sent.

I guess a truck painter could do the job as they obviously have the skills.

I'm not interested in anything digital, my partner is a graphic designer so I could get digital print for free but I would love to use a traditional Indian sign painter.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

I think most Colonies in New Delhi have a sign painter or two. I know that there was one in M block Market in Greater Kailash. You have to go there and look and ask around.

Thanks. Yeah that's what I thought, there must be a good amount of them about.

The sign, truck and bus painters in India have some serious skills, I remember driving past hand painted signs for concrete mix along the highway to Amritsar, must have been hundreds of the same sign perfectly done one after the other all exactly the same!
I would think going to a bus, tram or truck lot/ yard and asking around for the guy who paints for them.
