Cooking classes

Am staying in Hauz Khas for 2w this summer. Looking to take some classes in Indian cooking.

Anybody know of good studios or individuals providing classes? Could be anything between a “half day” to two days. North or South Indian.

Have booked one which looked good, but maybe I should book with various different ones.

Similarly for Hindi conversational lessons. Can read and write Hindi. I know the grammer pretty ok. Vocabulary is average at best. Verbal skills untrained. What is a good school to provide “custom” conversational lessons at reasonable price?

Thanks in anticipation.

What you are looking for is Advanced Class. You are better off, just speaking to people you know just in Hindi, and nothing else, and listen to Akashvani and watch DoorDarshan TV - Private TV channels speak in Hinglish !

Which would be the Private Channels you refer to?

Depends on your cable bundler. English ones speak Hinglish, Hindi ones speak Hinglish - Plus they tend to be at two octaves higher.

Oh ok
I dont get Hindi channels with my isp here in Netherlands
I do have a large collection of Hindi movies sitting here on dvd
For as far as my experiences reach, the podcasts of BBC Hindi and SBS (the Aussie station) seem to provide “well spoken” audio. But that only lets me listen - not talk
