Argh, sorry, didn't read carefully enough, there. Well, I'll keep an eye out for you, and let you know if I see anything!

(I'm with you on the Friends hatred, btw.)

Got the goods!

Yes! Guess what was shoved under my gate today: my amazon UK dvd box, not even one week after it was shipped by normal, non-registered mail

The postman just earned a big diwali bonus today!!

It arrived without hassles, customs formalities, just in perfect shape and unopened.

As curt_dfw said above, the key to success is probably ordering low-value stuff in small quantities, that doesn't attract too many long-fingered hands or customs officials. Good to know, I'll continue ordering stuff this way!

Great news! As for the small quantities, my boss's admin once sent a batch of 20 or so movies via Fedex -- they were held up in Bombay for censor clearance -- these were typical US or European movies, and not a 'R' or 'X' rated one in the bunch. She hadn't even noted the titles when she boxed them up, and I ended up having to walk away from the shipment. Ow.
