We are going darjeeling in november and staying there for 2 nights.
As we are accompanying a 1.5 yr old infant with us, so searching for guesthouses/homestays rather than good hotels.
Darjeeling is one of the most visited places in India , i think. And every 95 people out of 100 in Bengal has travelled there. So i expect a lot to get a great number of suggestions from you friends
See the points on my criterias,
1. Budget per room per night max 2500 INR
2. Good view of mountains/valleys from room
3. Guesthouse/ Homestay

I have searched in internet and sorted out, Revolver,Classic Guest house,Andy's guesthouse,Snow Lion Homestay, Shangri La regency,West Point Homestay etc. And reviews says normally we cannot get booking there as rooms used to get booked many months early.
As it is july and we are planning for november, are we late?

Please suggest some more good places to stay or, give me review about these places if you had been there.

Anything is welcome.

Some ideas...

I have a 3 year old daughter and we have planned for Kolakham which is near to Lava and Rishop. Its a calm and quite place a little off beat from the regular tourist destinations.

I have taken feedback from friends who had visited that place and they seem to love that place.

Hotel (basically guest house made of wood) starts at 1200 and goes upto 2500.

Thus you may try at Neora Valley Forest, Lava, Rishop or Kolakham... Google them for a better details.
