Nice report, but take note: Diu is not part of Dadra&NagarHaveli but of Daman&Diu. A new sub-heading for DD as opposed to DN is needed here.

CA Note - Desertphotographer, your thread has been moved to Daman and Diu forum. Beside, "palace" in thread title has been changed to "place". If it was not a typographic error, please let us know. We will revert it to the original.

Yes you are right the place is very good and specially nagoa and Jalandar beach.
Your photos remind me those days when on every alternate weekend we use to go to Diu.
It is a nice place overall except during Mansoon. November to january the beaches are excellent.

It might be beautiful, but for my next trip in (India) Gujurat, Diu is not on the program.
They are enough beautiful places in Gujurat.
With my white skin, as a western woman, with alcohol on sale everywhere in Diu...
I prefer not to go.
Maybe it's a shame, every single place in India interest me, but I definitely prefer to go somewhere else...

Just Diu It!

For all its simple and unhurried charm, Diu remains surprisingly neglected as a tourist destination. Well, we enjoyed it immensely and hope that more IMers will consider adding Diu to their Gujarat itineraries.

Sharing some pictures from our Jan 2014 trip to Diu:
