The brother of a friend of a friend has gone missing recently in the Gokyo, Namche area. This is obviously a long shot but I thought I'd post the details here about him.

The main request for help (and photo) is based at http://www.trekinfo.com/forums/showthread.php?t=23397 but here is an extract:

Quote:
...Julian Wynne, English, 32 has not made contact with any one and we are worried. He climbed the Gokyo Ri area, and safely decended, this was around the 21st December. He had then planned to go to EBC...Julian has now not made any contact for almost 4 weeks.
Quote:
This was Julian's first treking trip, he did begin treking with a friend but they parted company (22nd Dec) after descending Gokyo Ri. Julian was possibly sighted with two Australian guys on the 22nd December... We know that Julian has not signed out of the National Park. If any one can recommend a guide or suggest how i might contact one it would be appreciated.

Moving this to Crossing the Border (as it's about Nepal).

Hey Ocean,

Can't help, but I know who you're talking about. My friends met with the two of them as they were trekking, and then met his partner in Kathmandu later. I had been wondering what happened. I'm so sorry he hasn't been found.

My friend who was there has already posted in that thread on TrekInfo so there's nothing more I can add but my sympathy.
Mosquitos suck.

Thanks again. I wasn't even sure about posting this on IndiaMike let alone the correct forum.

Just a quick update to say that Julian's brother-in-law Greg spent a couple/few weeks search for Julian and information but got nowhere.

It's now be six weeks and nothing. No leads, no information, nothing.

The family are fearing the worst.
