Came through this piece while surfing the Travel section of The Hindustan Times
Kutumsar caves, considered one of the longest caves in the world, is situated in the Kanger Valley National Park in Bastar, which is around 350 km from the Chhattisgarh capital Raipur, in central India, the caves have been named after the nearby village. It is 40 feet deep and an amazing 4,500 feet in length.

There are several chambers inside the caves in all directions and a new chamber believed to be 410 metres deep was discovered in 2011.
At the very end of the main cave lies the naturally formed Shiva ling and every year on Maha Shivratri hordes of locals climb down to offer prayers.
According to local folklore, the caves were first discovered in 1951 by tribals who were hunting a porcupine and followed it inside the caves. However, as per the official version, the caves were discovered around 1958 by geographer Shankar Prasad Tiwari.

I'm sorry to disappoint you with this information, but the longest cave in the world is the Mammoth Cave System National Park, Kentucky USA, which is 627.644 kilo meters in length. (mind you not feet or even meters). The longest cave System in the Indian sub-continent is the Lait prah caves in Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya. So far the cave has been measured upto 30.957 kilo meters in length, which also makes it the 129th longest cave in the world to date.

Below you will find a link which is on a report of the lenght of Caves in Meghalaya (till 2006).

@prince09, the title clearly states the referenced caves are "one of the" longest caves in the world. Hence in my humble opinion the title seems to be clear and need not be changed!
@karikor, I had seen the article in one of the renowned newspaper and source has been quoted appropriately.
My disclaimer is: I did had no data to authenticate the claim made by a newspaper and had mentioned the source of information.

Just to clear up the confusion, I modified the thread title yesterday. No need to get so excited about it.
